Bersyukur kehadrat Illahi kerana dikurniakan waktu untuk menulis dalam blog nie. Artikel nie khas ditujukan kepada bakal-bakal junior yang akan terbang ke UK September ini...khususnya yang akan ke sheffield.
Sedikit perkongsian mengenai perkara-perkara yang perlu diuruskan sebelum berangkat ke UK....moga bermanfaat...
Saya yakin adik-adik semua sedang sibuk menguruskan dokumen-dokumen yang penting untuk ke UK(bagi yang result ALevel xkeluar lagi..bersabar yer...doa banyak3....) Siapa dah dpt result dan offer letter drp universiti...dinasihat kan proceed kepada list di bawah....(hihihi)
I --->Medical Check-up
Go for a medical check-up at any clinic or hospital and ask for a medical report. Selalunya setiap sponsor seperti Mara, KPM, JPA, mereka ada menyediakan borang untuk medical Check-up....so, bawa borang tersebut bersama-sama semasa pemeriksaan doktor....
suggestion: If u've extra money u'd like to find private hospital to save time...
important!!!! a chest X-ray.......u may be ask to perform it at heathrow airport. So, keep it in ur HAND LUGGAGE.
Meningitis Vaccination.....korang boleh dapatkan secara percuma drp NHS,UK. If u want it to be done locally.It's advised that u first ask the doctor if it is of the same type given in the UK.
II----> DOCUMENTS
Pastikan semua documents di bawah sentiasa bersama anda. The best way is by keeping them in ur hand-luggage NOT check-in luggage:
1. PASSPORT (make sure that it's valid for the duration of ur stay)
2. Medical report and X-ray film
3. Acceptance/offer letter form ur university stating the course u are taking and duration of d course.
4. Bank Statement or the financial affidavit.
5. A few passport-sized photos(max 10 keping)
6. Some cash or treveller's cheque
3 ---> VISA APPLICATION
Advise from VFS for 2007 applicants:
1. Log on to http://www.vfs-uk-my.com/index.aspx
2. Download application VAF 1 Form
3. Download & fill up the the Student Questionnaire and survey form.
4. The current visa fee is RM 664.00. Boleh bayar melalui bank draft(payable to the "British High Commission") atau tunai.
## Untuk pengetahuan semua, pemohonan membuat visa akan mengambil masa minimum 5hari bekerja.Ini bermakna korang akan dapat visa korang dalam masa 5hari berkerja selepas permohonan.Jadi, dinasihatkan kepada korang untuk menghantar borang permohonan seawal mungkin untuk mengelakkan sebarang masalah.
To apply for a Visa, you will need ur
1. Original Offical letter from ur university. AWAS!!! unconditional offer letter from UCAS tidak akan dilayan. Selalunya offical letter from university akan di pos kerumah korang, kalau lambat sangat korang juga boleh pergi ke South East Asia Office,UoS untuk mengambil surat tersebut tapi sebelum tue hubungi dulu wakil di bawah:
3. Photo. Be careful with photo requirement. WHITE background only!!!
4. Selain itu terdapat juga beberapa dokumen lain, sila rujuk VAF1 form.
5. DATANG AWAL!!!!
